Eg Hÿq åqÿhy (/jaz/ /ɑːˈqɪ̘ʤ/ [humble; modest; shy] [discussion]) is a subtropical Town located in the Nahan Provence of the Kingdom of Hobben.
The name Eg Hÿq åqÿhy is derived from the Dwarven language, as Eg Hÿq åqÿhy was founded by Tresêv Eghehf, who was culturaly Dwarvern.
Climate
Eg Hÿq åqÿhy has a yearly average temperature of 25°C (77°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 30°C (86°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 21°C (69°F). Eg Hÿq åqÿhy receives an average of 265 cm/y (104 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Eg Hÿq åqÿhy covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 2988 m (9803 ft) above sea level.
Overview
Eg Hÿq åqÿhy was founded durring the early 16th century in spring of the year 1500, by Tresêv Eghehf. The establishment of Eg Hÿq åqÿhy suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.
Eg Hÿq åqÿhy was built using the conventions of Dwarvern durring the early 16th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Eg Hÿq åqÿhy is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.
Eg Hÿq åqÿhy is is constructed arround a series of restrictive flagstone mainstreets which form overlapping circles, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The town has a defencive wall made from large clay bricks. The wall is constructed to the exact specifications of millitary fortifications, but the nature of its clay brick construction leaves it vulnerable to even outdated siege equipment. That said, the town is well defended against anything short of an army. The town's brittle defences are visibly old, but also obviously maintained semi-regularly. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with ocasional mantance of the towns defences.
Right off the bat Eg Hÿq åqÿhy hits you in the face with its success. Everyone, even the peasants, are dressed in well made clothing. Every tool and implement you can see is finely made, and people will boast to you as obvious strangers of the wonders which can be found in their markets. More interestingly is a total lack of beggars, and plenty of new buildings are going up even as you speak. Somehow this town has come into quite a lot of wealth, and recently from the looks of things. Precisely how it has gained its wealth is a mystery. Eg Hÿq åqÿhy is, in a word, disorder. People seem to be allowed to do as they please with little harmoney to anything. It feels less like a town, and more like a spot people just happened to place their homes. Yet there are small elements here and there which show the underlying structure of the community. It’s just so complex, organic, and flowing one can only understand what is a piece of the puzzle, but not what its neighbors are.

Eg Hÿq åqÿhy has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Eg Hÿq åqÿhy's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.
Eg Hÿq åqÿhy possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Town. Eg Hÿq åqÿhy's grid is powered by a god's will and kindness.
Eg Hÿq åqÿhy has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.
Eg Hÿq åqÿhy has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.
Eg Hÿq åqÿhy has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.
Cultural Notes
Eg Hÿq åqÿhy is led by one or more incompetents. While they must have been very good at something to have acquired the position, they are fundamentally incapable of leading. Uncontrolled passions or lusts, commitment to a hopelessly impractical ideal, pigheaded obstinacy in the face of failure, a total lack of charisma or interpersonal skills, or profound laziness might all unfit them for their post.
Eg Hÿq åqÿhy's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its striking sculptural forms and often dazzling ornamental detail that characterizes the buildings general shape. The radiant colors, rich patterns, and symmetrical silhouettes employed by this style were backed up by rich decorative features including gardens, courtyards, extruded arches, domes, pointed domes, vaulted ceilings, elaborate painted and inlaid designs, and decorative sculptures.
